To upgrade your guacamole, try adding a bit more salt than usual and letting the mix sit for five minutes. About 1/2 teaspoon of Kosher salt for every three avocados works well.
Hand sprinkling salt
Salt is a seasoning and a flavor enhancer. When sprinkled over mashed avocado and other guac ingredients, it takes needs minutes to dissolve and bind all the flavors in the blend.
Resting it lets the guac stay green at room temperature for longer. Plus, salt draws out moisture from ingredients like tomatoes and onions, helping their juices mix into the guac.
