The Steamed Lemon Trick For Getting Any Smells Out Of An Instant Pot
By KAREN HART
If you use your Instant Pot often, it can take on an unpleasant odor. The cause of the smell can usually be traced to the rubber sealing ring inside the lid.
While the smell won't affect your food, it can permeate the entire house. There is a way to rid yourself of the odors by using a little lemon, vinegar, and steam.
Perform a little cleaning magic by adding lemon rinds, some water, and vinegar to your Instant Pot, hit the steam setting, and let it run for a few minutes.
Another option is to put the Instant Pot’s sealing ring in the dishwasher if you have a dishwasher-safe brand, but if that smell has been present for a while, it may not be enough.
