The Unconventional Way To Cook Steak Without The Oily Mess
By TALIN VARTANIAN
After cooking a buttery steak, one may be left staring at the kitchen with a distressed expression due to all the splattered oil from searing steaks in a hot skillet. Don’t worry, there is an unconventional way to cook steak without the oily mess.
Begin by placing the seasoned steaks in a nonstick, cold pan with no oil, then increase the heat to high and cook for two minutes on each side. Be aware that the steaks will not look deliciously brown yet, but patience will eventually lead to perfection.
The final step is to reduce the heat to medium and flip the steak every two minutes until it reaches the desired doneness. You'll see a crust slowly forming on the steak, which definitely competes favorably with the traditional hot pan method.
