To transform Cool Whip into frosting, simply mix it with cream of tartar, a common stabilizer. It creates a sturdy, customizable frosting that takes very little time to make.

Cream of tartar is available online and can usually be found in the baking aisle at the grocery store. Simply beat the two ingredients together with a stand mixer or whisk.
Let the Cool Whip defrost in the fridge for about an hour beforehand and use the entire 8-ounce tub along with ¼ teaspoon of cream of tartar.
For extra flavor, add extracts like vanilla, peppermint, or lemon. If the frosting comes out too thin, put it in the fridge for a few minutes to let it harden up a bit.
