Store-bought rotisserie chickens are a great way to save time and money at the grocery store, but once you get home, you should transfer that chicken to a better container.
Since the chicken is sealed in the bag while warm, it builds up moisture, creating a warm, humid environment that’s conducive to the growth of bacteria, yeast, and mold.
If you’re not planning on using it right away, let it cool down and transfer it into an airtight container or wrap it in aluminum foil or plastic wrap before refrigerating.
