Why Your Nespresso Milk Frother Needs Regular Cleaning
BY LUNA REGINA
Regular cleaning is important with all Nespresso machines, but it's especially crucial for milk frothers. This helps prevent unwanted tastes and harmful bacteria from forming.
If your Nespresso Aeroccino is heating up faster, flashing a red light, and turning itself off before the milk is done, there’s a good chance milk residue has built up inside.
Besides regular rinsing, it's important to deep clean your Nespresso Aeroccino, as milk residue can build up in sneaky places and cause a burnt flavor, or worse — mold growth.
Once the frother cools down after use, remove the jug from the base. Take out the removable elements — seal, lid, whisk, and spring — and clean them with soapy water, then rinse.
Wash the inside of the jug with cold water and scrub with a sponge or soft scouring pad that’s gentle on the interior coating. Then, dry it before setting it on its base.
