You Should Know These Facts About Costco's Kirkland Coffee
BY Ayomari
Former Supplier
Starbucks once supplied Kirkland's whole-bean house, espresso, and decaf blends, the labels on which featured Starbucks' logo and read "Custom roasted by Starbucks."
For some reason, the logo disappeared from all three labels around the beginning of 2024. That said, Starbucks continues to produce The Kirkland Signature French Roast.
Coffee Flavors
Kirkland sells various whole-bean coffees, including the house and espresso blends and a French roast. It offers Colombian and decaffeinated coffees and four K-cups.
Besides French roast, international flavors include a decaf organic Colombian, a citrus and floral-like organic Ethiopia light roast, and the organic Sumatra medium dark roast.
Amazon
Due to the growing demand for Kirkland products from non-members and fans who live in cities without Costco, resellers now sell Kirkland products on Amazon, including coffee.
Many resellers offer the same prices as Costco, but some raise the rates. If the reseller shares no information regarding when the coffee was originally purchased, it might be old.
Light Roasts
Kirkland offers only two whole-bean light roasts: the organic Ethiopia whole-bean coffee and the Mayorga Bueno Días, an online-only specialty-grade 100% Arabica coffee.
Your other option is breakfast blend K-cups. Given Costco's limited light roast coffee options, the chain's blend committee doesn't seem to have many light roast fans.
K-Cups’ Producer
Keurig's Green Mountain Roasters is one of Costco's coffee manufacturers. Its logo can be seen on all of its Costco products, including Kirkland's K-cups.
Keurig even created two special blends just for Kirkland: the breakfast blend and the Pacific blend. The line was later expanded to include the summit roast and the house decaf.
