  • Tess's food blog, Funky Foods, was a finalist for "Best Specialty Interest Blog" at the Saveur Magazine Food Blog Awards in 2019.
  • She has assisted chefs with developing recipes for three different cookbooks ("Feast by Firelight," "Seasonal Family Almanac," and "Smitten Kitchen Keepers") and is currently working on a fourth.
  • She's in the early stages of developing cooking classes for a community app that brings local foodies together for special events.

Experience

From her early days as a restaurant cook and kitchen assistant to her time as a kitchen apprentice at Vice Munchies, Tess has cultivated a deep love for creating delicious and innovative dishes. She has also excelled as a personal chef in NYC, catering to the unique preferences and dietary needs of families and entrepreneurs. In 2022, Tess moved to France (her father's native land) where she continued to showcase her culinary skills as a personal chef. Now based in San Diego, Tess brings a touch of French elegance to her private chef clients and continues to seek out new culinary opportunities.

Education

Tess has a bachelor's degree in writing with a concentration in non-fiction from Ithaca College.
