Dominique Crenn And Nancy Silverton Announce 5 Night Tuscan Residency

If your idea of heaven is a culinary trip to the heartland of Italy, Monteverdi Tuscany, a boutique resort nestled in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Tuscany's Val d'Orcia region, is offering the experience of a lifetime. For five days, guests of the hotel can enjoy a Chef in Residence program that promises foodie excursions, intimate fine dinners, and hands-on cooking classes that explore every facet of the culinary bounty of Tuscany. 

But the standout feature of this culinary adventure is the two chefs who'll be coming for the inaugural residency: Dominique Crenn and Nancy Silverton. With numerous Michelin stars between them, Crenn and Silverton will be bringing their respective talents and insight to Monteverdi Tuscany from November 7 through 12. During this five-day extravaganza, guests will share many aperitivos and family-style dinners with Crenn and Silverton in a relaxed set-up that encourages genuine connection and conversation with the celebrated chefs. 

At the helm of this experience is Monteverdi's Chief Culinary Officer Giancarla Bodoni, who worked with Silverton at the Monteverdi last April. In a press release, Bodoni stated that this Chef in Residence program is a continuation of "Monteverdi's legacy of bringing talented artists together to inspire and to be inspired." 

In addition to enjoying meals curated by Bodoni, Crenn, and Silverton, guests will join them on distinct epicurean field trips, from white truffle hunting to cheesemaking at Caseificio Pìu, a family-owned sheep's milk farm, to a tour of a historic flour and grain mill. At the hotel itself, participants will learn from chef-led demos on how to craft truly Tuscan meals at Monteverdi's Culinary Academy. Finally, travelers can also enjoy concerts, wine tastings, and exquisite Tuscan vistas in between the food-filled events. 

Both chefs are excited to be a part of this adventure, with Crenn proclaiming, "I look forward to a week full of food, laughter, learning, and dancing!" Silverton joined in with a similar comment, "There's nothing quite like exploring, learning, and gathering great people around a dinner table in a beautiful place."
