Thomas Keller Joined By Jose Andres At Hudson Yards
José Andrés and Costas Spiliadis will join Thomas Keller at Hudson Yards in 2018
Thomas Keller, The French Laundry man himself, dropped a bomb of restaurant news back in May when he announced that he would be curating all 12 of the restaurants in the giant Hudson Yards development on the far west side of Manhattan. It's the first new project for the restaurateur and chef in nearly a decade, and for the most part, he's stayed rather tight lipped about it, saying only that his restaurant will be less formal than Per Se.
Today news broke of two new restaurateurs Keller has lassoed in for the project: Spanish star José Andrés and Greek chef Costas Spiliadis. Spiliadis will open another location of his Greek seafood spot, Estiatorio Milos (there's already one in Midtown and Las Vegas), while Andrés will debut a Spanish restaurant, the details of which are still under wraps.
Fans of the chefs will have to sit tight for a while to dine at Hudson Yards. The restaurants aren't slated to open until 2018, and the complex itself won't be completed until 2024. But thankfully, Andrés will make his New York debut before then. He's opening an outpost of his hit L.A./Vegas/Miami restaurant, The Bazaar, in what will be the SLS New York next summer.
