Coffee Shops To Accept Payment In Poetry

On Monday, 1,280 coffee shops around the world will let you pay with a poem

Get your pens (and all of the feels) ready: On Monday, 1,280 coffee shops in 34 countries will allow patrons to pay for their cups of coffee with a poem to mark World Poetry Day. The program started last year at Austrian coffee roasting company Julius Meinl, and more than 100,000 people cashed in on it, The Guardian reports.

Most of the coffee shops participating this year are in Europe, especially Austria, Slovenia and the Czech Republic, but there are a handful in North America: Ni.Do. Caffé in Miami, an outpost of Julius Meinl in Chicago and Bakery & Kaffee Haus Queen Street West in Toronto. (Find a full map of locations here.)
