Blue Apron Just Unveiled Its 2022 Thanksgiving Menu
Turkey, stuffing, and pies — oh my! Thanksgiving might still be a few months away, but it never hurts to start planning. Luckily, Blue Apron is already one step ahead. The meal-kit company has just released its menu for this year's fall festivities and it's safe to say that whether you're looking for a traditional feast or vegetarian fare, the menus sound extremely promising.
"Our extensive Thanksgiving menu features easy-to-prepare recipes, regardless of a person's skill level in the kitchen," shares Blue Apron's Vice President of Culinary, John Adler, in a press release. "Each offering was created with flexibility in mind to appeal to a variety of taste preferences."
Alleviating some of the stress associated with cooking the celebratory meal, Blue Apron's abundant menus feature seasonal and specialty ingredients that work to elevate some holiday classics. A far cry from the wildfowl, venison, and corn porridges served during the feasts of yore (via Smithsonian Magazine), here's what you can expect from the Thanksgiving boxes.
Fall flavors fit for carnivores and vegetarians alike
Starting on October 7, Blue Apron states that the Thanksgiving boxes will be available for order with a subscription through the website or app, and without a subscription via Blue Apron's Market and on Walmart's website. With all of the ingredients and instructions ready to create a legendary feast, all you need to decide is the delivery date and which box to choose.
As for what's on the menu, the "Classic Thanksgiving Box" will include roasted turkey breast complete with herby, garlic gravy and ginger, maple-infused cranberry sauce, served with fried rosemary and pumpkin seed topped Brussels sprouts, and buttery, cheddar mashed potatoes, notes Business Wire. Ending on a sweeter note, the meal concludes with a caramel and almond apple crumb pie.
Featuring more plant-forward fare, the "Vegetarian Holiday Box" instead consists of a cheesy, truffle-covered pasta bake, served with sides like walnut-topped Brussels sprouts, citrusy arugula salad, and smoky squash, before ending with a chocolate mousse pie. Craving a meaty protein? The "Holiday Ham Box" combines the tasty sides of the vegetarian box with a mustard and brown sugar glazed ham — let the fall feasting begin!
