So, what is a Negroni Sbagliato? A classic Negroni Sbagliato combines equal parts Campari, vermouth, and prosecco, as well as a citrusy garnish. According to La Cucina Italiana, the cocktail was first invented when bartender Mirko Stocchetto accidentally grabbed a bottle of prosecco instead of gin while making a classic Negroni in 1972. The addition of the sparkling wine combines the sweetness of the vermouth with the bitter flavor of the Campari, making it more palate-friendly for those who don't like their drinks too strong.

If you'd prefer to just pour a drink out without having to mix the cocktail, but you still want to try the viral sensation, St. Agrestis might have the solution for you very soon.

The release was triggered by the internet trend

According to the company's website, St. Agrestis has jumped on the trend and is now selling a bottled version of Negroni Sbagliato. The recipe was reportedly developed in 2018, but the release was postponed due to a lack of popularity. Now, thanks to the internet's piqued interest, the company has finally decided to release its version of the cocktail. Over on the company's Instagram, Emma D'Arcy was actually thanked for their endorsement of the drink.

The bottled cocktail combines St. Agrestis Inferno Bitter Aperitivo, a Torino-style vermouth (a sweeter variety, as per Vermouth 101), and Prosecco imported directly from the Veneto. The bubbly drink is described as having a bittersweet, herbaceous flavor, and the company recommends serving it over ice with an orange accent. The bottled beverage is currently selling at $64.99 per 200ml bottle. It is available for preorder on the St. Agrestis website, with free shipping in the United States. Shipments are expected to go out beginning in November (via the St. Agrestis Instagram).
