Black Friday 2022: The Best Shopping Deals For Food Lovers
Black Friday used to begin at dawn's break the Friday after Thanksgiving, but over the years, and with the increase in popularity of online shopping, Black Friday sales begin as early as ... now.
We get it. After scouring the internet for the best Thanksgiving recipes, getting your family holiday photo sent out, and signing up to bring eight dozen homemade cookies to your charity of choice's holiday bake sale, you may need a nap. (Please, take one.) But we also understand if you're operating on pure holiday excitement (and maybe a pumpkin spice latte or three) and ready to start checking items off your gift list.
After expertly executing a flawless Thanksgiving meal, you don't need to rouse yourself from a turkey-induced slumber because Tasting Table has done the research for you and unearthed the best 2022 Black Friday sales both online and in stores. Whether you're looking for discounts on big-ticket items, stocking stuffers, or just some treats for yourself after all your hard work, we have some fantastic deals to share.
Harry and David
Known for its gorgeous pears, according to the company website, Harry & David was founded by brothers Harry and David Rosenberg, who took over their family orchard business. After a Depression-era slump, the brothers started selling their high-end "Royal Riviera" pears by mail. Now the company is known for offering gourmet fruit, wine, and gift baskets.
For Black Friday 2022, Harry & David is offering 30% off a selection of fruit, wine, and food gift baskets. Baskets range from combinations like the Bear Creek Gift Box, which features cheese, crackers, sausage, Moose Munch popcorn, and orchard-grown pears and apples for $89.99; the brand's Signature Chocolate Truffles, which contains 24 chocolates per box at $39.99; and the festive Winter Goodies Gift Box for $109.99.
Our Place
Our Place saved you a seat at its holiday table with cookware designed to bring people together. Our Place's Black Friday sale offers 30% off a range of items: Find the Perfect Pot on sale for $115 — down from $165. An oven-safe and non-stick cooking vessel designed to do the job of eight pieces of cookware, the Perfect Pot comes in a wide range of colors, like oatmeal, dusty pink, and charcoal. Also, check out the brand's Tiny Cast Iron Always Pan — a perfect pan when you're cooking for one is $15 off, down to $45.
Levain Bakery
The Levain Bakery was initially envisioned as a bread bakery by its co-founders Pam Weekes and Connie McDonald back when the pair opened it in 1995. But after introducing a chocolate chip walnut cookie to the menu (which was an instant success), the NYC bakery became famous for its massive cookies.
And luckily for cookie lovers living outside of New York City, the bakery also offers online ordering and nationwide shipping, so anyone living in the U.S. can take advantage of Levian Bakery's Black Friday 2022 sale. According to a press release sent to Tasting Table, from November 18 to 25, shoppers can score 20% off eight and 12-pack online cookie orders.
And on November 28, for Cyber Monday, the bakery will be gifting a free Levain holiday tin (retail $15) to anyone who purchases an eight-pack of the cookies.
Target
Target rolled out its Black Friday savings early this year, offering up to 40% off kitchen appliances and cookware. It's worth noting many of these deals are currently offered online only, but the company promises new deals weekly.

With 10 programmable cooking functions, including dehydrating, broiling, baking, and roasting, it's a pressure cooker and air fryer in one.
The Cuisinart 12-cup Programmable Coffeemaker is another standout from Target's Black Friday deals. (Hey, who doesn't want to wake up to the smell of freshly brewed coffee?) It usually retails for $129.99 and is now only $79.99.

This set is majorly marked down for Walmart's Black Friday sale at $20, originally $100. The set includes a 20-piece knife set and cutting board decorated in Ree Drummond's signature floral design.
Wine.com
How many took advantage of online wine delivery services when quarantine had us homebound and wineless? According to its site, Wine.com boasts the world's largest and broadest selection of wines featuring wineries from around the globe. It won the Wine Retail of the Year award in 2019 from Wine Enthusiast with its five-star mobile app and live chat wine experts. Wines can ship to your home or convenient pick-up locations like Walgreens and FedEx.
Black Friday deals are going on now, and savings are split into four categories: savings of 25% and up; 97+ rated wines under $100; 90+ rated under $20; and Champagne rated 90+ on sale.
In the red variety, you can get the Chateau Haut Gaudin Bordeaux for $14.99 (a 63% savings). The French Collet Brut is an attractive offer at only $34.99. Chardonnay drinkers can find La Crema Kelli Ann Vineyard for $29.99. Long-time, highly rated Domaine de Chevalier 2018 is available for $94.99 and has consistently been rated above 97 points since 2014. Splurge on Champagne for the holidays, or as a special gift.
Misen
Cookware maker Misen says, "it's all gravy" this Black Friday, and using code ALLGRAVY30 will get you 30% off sitewide for a limited time. The company believes that quality kitchen tools don't need to be so expensive, cutting out the middleman to make quality cookware more accessible and affordable for the home chef.
Misen's top-rated items, like its chef's knife, will be available for 30% off with the code. Made from Japanese steel, the company guarantees its chef's knife will stay sharp and can withstand even the toughest kitchen tasks. Another smart choice during Misen's Black Friday sale is the brand's nonstick pan: Featuring a PFOA-free nonstick coating, this pan is built to last over twice as long as other nonstick pans. The eight-inch model is $55 before the discount.
KitchenAid
KitchenAid is also running a Black Friday sale for 2022. The company behind the beloved rainbow-colored stand mixer (one of the most requested wedding registry items, according to The Knot) is offering savings on select countertop appliances.
It's worth noting that most of these discounts run through Saturday, November 26 (meaning no Cyber Monday), and are only available on the KitchenAid website, including up to $20 off select toasters and hand blenders, up to $50 off some stand mixer attachments, and between $100 to $250 off select KitchenAid stand mixers, depending on the model. All of these Black Friday deals exclude refurbished products.
Miyoko's Creamery
If you're hosting a vegan at your home this holiday season (or vegan yourself, a person with a dairy allergy, or even just trying to cut back on animal products) you'll want to check out the Black Friday sale at Miyoko's Creamery. According to a statement sent to Tasting Table, the vegan dairy company is offering shoppers 15% off its plant-based cheeses and butters, as well as free shipping on orders of $60 or more. This deal begins Friday, November 25 (aka Black Friday) and goes through the weekend, ending on Cyber Monday.
Miyoko's Creamery explains its butter can be swapped one-for-one in recipes, making it easier than ever to veganize your grandma's classic Christmas shortbread recipe or dreidel-shaped piñata cookies (that's why you're still hanging on to that leftover Halloween candy ... right?). The company also offers a wide variety of vegan cheeses, which mimic the taste of charcuterie board all-stars like smoked gouda, fresh mozzarella, English cheddar, and garlic herb.

The DashPass membership comes with perks like free delivery, exclusive discounts, and 5% credit on pickup orders. DoorDash's new DashPass Gifting program is exactly what it sounds like: DoorDash fans can now gift DashPass memberships to friends and family in three, six, and 12-month options. The Black Friday discount will also be applied to any gifted memberships for the fist year.
