Starbucks Egg Bites Have Arrived On Costco Shelves

Starbucks debuted its Sous Vide Egg Bites back in 2017 in an attempt to cater to customers searching for meat or bread-free options on its breakfast menu. At the time, the sous vide egg bites were offered in two varities: bacon and Gruyère and egg white and roasted red pepper. Fast forward to today, and the menu item is one of Starbucks pouplar offerings, with Mel Magazine describing its fans as a "cult." It has also been deemed worthy of an expansion, with Starbucks adding a third flavor option to its menu, kale and mushrrom.

While the ease of ordering breakfast from Starbucks while you pick up your morning latte likely adds to the egg bites' appeal, fans will no longer have to leave the comfort of their own home next time a craving for the bacon and Gruyère Sous Vide Egg Bites hits — provided they have recently been to Costco and live in the Northeast.

First spotted by eagle-eye Costco fan Instagram account @costco_doesitagain, Starbucks has confirmed to Tasting Table its Uncured Bacon & Gruyère Sous Vide Egg Bites will be available for a limited time at select Costco locations.

According to the statement given to Tasting Table, each package contains 10 egg bites, which is the equivalent of five servings. As the boxes of egg bites are priced at $14.79 in the image shared on Instagram, this comes out to about $1.50 per bite.

Made with uncured bacon, Gruyère and Monterey jack cheeses, and cage free eggs, one serving (or two egg bites) packs 17 grams of protein. Starbucks describes the gluten-free snack as having "a velvety texture that's full of flavor."

Starbucks' Sous Vide Egg Bites with Uncured Bacon & Gruyère will be available for a limited time and are only available at select Costco stores in the Northeast U.S. For fans eager to try the product for themselves, it's time to get crackin'.
