Taco Bell's Nacho Fries Are Back With A Spicy Twist
Back and better than ever; fans of Taco Bell's Nacho Fries will be pleasantly surprised to hear the limited edition item will once again grace menus across the United States starting April 13, according to a press release. But, wait — there's more: In addition to the comeback classic (this will mark the ninth time that Nacho Fries have returned to the Taco Bell menu), the chain is also introducing a zestier version featuring Yellowbird Hot Sauce.
Generously coated in spices and fried to golden perfection, Nacho Fries wouldn't be Nacho Fries without a side of warm, cheesy dipping sauce. Beloved as the standard offering is, Taco Bell's newest spin on the side promises to amp up fiery flavors even further by topping the seasoned fries with the signature cheese sauce plus meaty pieces of steak and a drizzle of a new, Taco Bell-exclusive Yellowbird hot sauce flavor, Spicy Habanero Ranch.
Taco Bell's Yellowbird Nacho Fries will be available for a very limited time
With a super-short window of availability, the Yellowbird Nacho Fries (priced at $4.99) will make an appearance nationwide for just two short weeks; the traditional Nacho Fries (priced at $1.99) will grace menu boards for a bit longer. To make the most out of the hot sauce collab, Taco Bell is also giving hot sauce fans the chance to add the Spicy Habanero Ranch sauce to any menu item for an additional $1, while supplies last.
If you're curious about the new sauce's flavor, the condiment is described as creamy, yet vibrantly peppery. Made with Yellowbird's habanero hot sauce recipe, the Spicy Habanero Ranch is reportedly tangy, with fresh, almost fruity undertones. The partnership with the Texas-based hot sauce brand "feels like second nature," explains Taco Bell's Chief Food Innovation Officer Liz Matthews. "Yellowbird utilizes premium ingredients to create their sauces and the Spicy Habanero Ranch sauce seamlessly compliments the full Taco Bell menu."
