Truly Brings Back Fruity Vodka Sodas Just In Time For Summer
Truly and its parent company, The Boston Beer Company, are no strangers to innovation. Truly's founder Jim Koch started brewing his great-great grandfather's beer recipe way back in 1984, which later became Sam Adams Boston Lager. Since then, Koch has established an empire, which now counts among its brands Dogfish Head beer, Twisted Tea, Angry Orchard, and a big player in the hard seltzer category, Truly.
Truly hasn't rested on its laurels, though, continuing to innovate with a line of flavored vodkas and adding Truly Vodka Seltzers to the lineup in 2022, according to a press release. Now, just in time for warm weather sipping, Truly has rebranded its tasty vodka-based drinks and is relaunching them as Truly Vodka Soda. A combination of premium vodka that's distilled six times, natural fruit juices, as well as premium flavors, the bubbly bevie comes in 12-ounce slim cans, packaged in two brand new summery-flavored variety packs. All of the Truly Vodka Sodas contain 110 calories, clock in at 5% ABV, are gluten-free, and contain just 2 grams of sugar per can.
What flavors are in the Truly Vodka Soda lineup?
Truly Vodka Sodas come in three different variety packs, one being a returning favorite. The Twist of Flavor variety pack of eight cans in four flavor combinations: Blackberry & Lemon, Cherry & Lime, Pineapple & Cranberry, and Peach & Tangerine. New to the Truly Vodka Soda offerings are two fresh variety packs: the Truly Vodka Soda Classic Pack brings four flavors to the party: Lime, Mango, Blueberry, and Pineapple, while the Truly Vodka Soda Paradise Pack calls on an array of tropical vacation-inspired flavors: Mango, Watermelon, Passionfruit, and Blood Orange.
Truly explains the reason for its rebranding of the Vodka Soda line in its press release, pointing out that the name change is a more accurate reflection of the "classic bar call" of a vodka soda. Since club soda is a bit more complex than seltzer, the move situates Truly Vodka Soda as a more authentic premium cocktail, rather than just a flavored sparkling drink. The new flavors of Truly Vodka Soda are available now at retailers around the country.
