Netflix Is Opening A Pop-Up Restaurant Featuring Its Most Acclaimed Chefs
Do you remember when Netflix gave viewers a chance to eat dance, and possibly even gossip at balls inspired by the show "Bridgerton"? Well, what if the company created a setting where fans of celebrity chefs could feast on their food? That's right. The globally popular entertainment streaming service is opening up a pop-up restaurant in Los Angeles. On June 30, Netflix Bites will open its doors for guests to indulge in a culinary journey curated by some of the streaming platform's most popular chefs.
Netflix Bites will have a special menu made by such culinary all-stars as Dominique Crenn from "Chef's Table," Nadiya Hussain from "Nadiya Bakes," Ann Kim from "Chef's Table: Pizza," and Andrew Zimmern from "Iron Chef: Quest for an Iron Legend," among many others. If you've seen any of these popular cooking shows, chances are that you've wondered what it would be like to taste the food on the screen. Guests will not only get a bite of that TV-inspired experience but will also get to consume custom cocktails.
What to expect at Netflix Bites
The menu at Netflix Bites is comprised of little plates or bites, organized into a unique concept of "bite flights." This allows guests to sample a variety of culinary creations inspired by each chef's specialty and personal influences. While the specific dishes and prices on the menu have not been disclosed, Netflix told Food & Wine that there will be a great variety of plates at varying price points. Netflix will also bring a myriad of flavors from cuisines from around the world.
And what is fine dining without a fanciful cocktail menu? Netflix is also featuring a special cocktail menu crafted by the famous mixologists of "Drink Masters." Frankie Solarik, Julie Reiner, LP O'Brien, and Kate Gerwin will be creating the most unique cocktails to complement the tasting menu. While these esteemed chefs and mixologists have collaborated on the menu, they will not be on-site.
Netflix Bites will be open at Short Stories Hotel in Los Angeles for a limited time, from 5 pm to 10 pm seven days of a week, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays with a special brunch menu. Although it hasn't opened up its doors just yet, Netflix Bites is already taking online reservations, which requires a $25 nonrefundable deposit per person that goes into your final bill.
