Red Lobster Adds Ultimate Endless Shrimp To Its Permanent Menu
Red Lobster may be known for its Cheddar Bay Biscuits, but it's almost as famous for seasonal events, with celebrations like Crabfest and Lobsterfest offering special meals and big discounts on normally pricy seafood. Of all these specials, Ultimate Endless Shrimp may have been the biggest fan favorite, and for any lovers of fried shrimp and shrimp scampi, it's not hard to understand why. However, in recent years, Red Lobster's Ultimate Endless Shrimp has been both a fun time and a bit of a sad misnomer, as the promotion ran only during the fall season. Luckily, as a press release from the company has confirmed, it has truly earned its name as the seafood chain has added Ultimate Endless Shrimp to its menu for good.
The deal will now be available all day, every day, and at the low price of $20. The new menu fixture still operates the same way the old promotion did, with customers choosing two flavors to start, and then being able to continuously add new orders of any shrimp flavor they want until they can't handle another bite of crustacean. And yes, before you ask, the deal includes unlimited Cheddar Bay Biscuits, too.
Red Lobster's Ultimate Endless Shrimp features five classic flavors
Endless Shrimp wouldn't be so popular if the shrimp weren't so enticing, and one of the best features of the deal has always been the variety you get. Each iteration of the promotion in the past would usually bring some special flavor, like last year's Parmesan-Bacon Shrimp Scampi, but the permanent menu is sticking with the classics. You have your choice of Walt's Favorite Shrimp, Red Lobster's takes on a simple butterflied fried shrimp and cocktail sauce, Garlic Shrimp Scampi, and Grilled Garlic Shrimp, which are brushed with butter and served over rice. There is also Coconut Shrimp or Shrimp Alfredo, served over linguine if you want to mix it up a bit more. In addition to the biscuits, every order also comes with a choice of side.
As for why Red Lobster chose now to make this deal permanent? Well the company didn't really say, but Chief Marketing Officer Patty Trevino did hint that this will be an ongoing Endless Shrimp reinvention, saying, "This is just the beginning — we'll be 'dropping' more Ultimate Endless Shrimp excitement later this year." We don't really know what that means, beyond possibly mixing it up with new flavors, but this is still a pretty exciting value for a bite of seafood when the price of food is still high around the country. And if a place is good enough for Beyoncé, what are you waiting for?
