The LA Pizza Restaurant David Chang Would Go To Any Day Of The Week

Just like in any major city, the food options in Los Angeles can seem endless — after you decide you want pizza, for example, then you have a huge array of LA pizza joints to choose from. If you're having trouble deciding, one route to take is by going off of recommendations, such as from well-known and successful chefs. David Chang, for one, isn't shy about giving out his recommendations for restaurants in various cities — including for pizza in LA.

On Instagram, Chang posted a photo of a pizza and wrote, "The wise guy pizza [at Pizzeria Bianco] ... I've eaten this everyday this week. Delicious." And what exactly is on the pizza that Chang can eat multiple days in a row? Pizzeria Bianco's Wise Guy pizza consists of onion, mozzarella and fennel sausage.

Chang is far from the only person who loves Pizzeria Bianco — in fact, the restaurant, which is located in downtown LA, has a four-star rating on Yelp based on hundreds of reviews. Plus, chef Chris Bianco, the founder of Pizzeria Bianca has multiple restaurants to his name — including two other locations of Pizzeria Bianco, both in Phoenix, Arizona. So, if you're interested in seeking out Chang's (and many Yelpers') recommendation while you're in LA, what can you expect from Pizzeria Bianco?

Pizzeria Bianco offers a classic pizzeria experience (plus some non-pizza menu options)

When Chris Bianco opened the downtown Los Angeles location of Pizzeria Bianco, Bianco was determined to make it a quality pizza spot. In an interview with Eater in February 2022, prior to the location's opening, the chef said, "I want it to be as good or better than we've ever done, not watered down or anything else." Now for the main question: what type of pizza does Pizzeria Bianco offer?

Well, to start with, there's the Wise Guy pizza, just as David Chang recommended. But, if you're looking for a more traditional-style pizza, then you could go with the classic Margherita. There's also the very nontraditional Marinara pizza, which has just marinara sauce and no cheese. Another unconventional pizza offering is the Rosa — which Bianco is known for — which features red onion, parmigiano reggiano, rosemary, and pistachios. Additionally, there's the Sonny Boy, which consists of tomato sauce, mozzarella, soppressata, and olives. And finally, there's the Biancoverde, which has arugula alongside three different kinds of cheese: mozzarella, parmigiano reggiano, and ricotta.

And if you're in the mood for something else to go with your pizza, then there are also small plates and salads to choose from.
