The Starbucks Secret Menu Frappuccino That Tastes Like A Wendy's Frosty

For those of us who grew up near a local Wendy's, nothing compared to the after-school treat of washing down our square burger and fries with the chain's signature chocolate frosty. Heck, we still enjoy the creamy, chocolatey creation whenever we hit the drive-through window, and can't resist dipping our French fries in it for the ultimate salty-sweet snack.

If you also love the fast food burger joint's delectable dessert, but are seeking a slightly more grown-up version of the slushy beverage (i.e., one that provides a pleasing jolt of caffeine), you might be surprised to learn that you can order one up during your daily coffee run to Starbucks. 

Despite its name, it's no secret that the so-called Starbucks Secret Menu is bursting with creative tweaks on classic menu items to take basic Starbucks offerings to the next level. Luckily for us Wendy's Frosty fans, there's even an easy hack to turn the chain's regular Frappuccino into a coffee-packed version of the nostalgic treat.

When you're craving some of that chocolatey goodness to pair with your morning pick-me-up, all it takes is a blended mocha Frappuccino with some additional upgrades. According to the Starbucks barista who provided the tip to the Secret Menu website, you can request the frap with a cream base, one scoop of vanilla bean powder, heavy whipping cream, three pumps of mocha syrup, three pumps of vanilla syrup, and a topping of whipped cream. The Starbucks mocha Frappuccino comes included with coffee, but you can also enjoy an extra kick of caffeine by requesting an added shot of espresso poured over the top, affogato-style.

The full-bodied mocha flavoring, tempered somewhat by the added vanilla, should effortlessly embody the sweet richness of the Wendy's Frosty, while the creamy base and blended consistency of the Frappuccino comes close to the shake's thick texture we know and love. The decadent, caffeinated chocolate beverage should provide a delicious dose of nostalgia — and perhaps even inspire a hankering for a classic Wendy's burger.
