Shake Shack Announces New Spicy Menu And The Return Of Its Hot Chicken Sandwich
If you're a fan of spicy food, get ready for Shake Shack's latest menu additions. The chain has announced its new hot menu, featuring three spicy new menu items, as well as the long-awaited return of its hot chicken sandwich. The fan-favorite originally launched in 2017 and is back now for a limited time, starting at $8.39. If you haven't been lucky enough to try this sandwich, it features a crispy chicken breast doused in a hot pepper blend, served on a bun with cherry pepper slaw and pickles to cool it down.
"We've been listening to our fans who crave spice and bold flavors, which is why we're bringing back Hot Chicken for the fourth time," John Karangis, Executive Chef and Vice President of Culinary Innovation at Shake Shack, told Tasting Table. "Whether you're watching football or just enjoying the fall season, this menu will bring the heat that we know our guests are going to enjoy."
All customers can enjoy this new menu starting Friday, September 8, at all Shake Shack locations nationwide. But if you can't wait that long, you can get exclusive access starting September 5 using the chain's app.
Shake Shack's spicy menu
In addition to the hot chicken sandwich, there's also the Spicy Shackmeister Burger for those who prefer red meat over chicken. The new item is made up of an Angus beef cheeseburger that's taken to the next level with an original hot pepper blend. It's served on a bun with crispy onions, cherry peppers, and that Shack burger sauce we can't get enough of, and starts at $7.99.
To complete your spicy meal, there are two variations of spicy fries featuring those iconic, crispy, crinkle-cuts tossed in a hot pepper blend. The first option is served with ranch sauce and starts at $4.09. There's also a variation topped with cheese sauce and served with ranch starting at $5.09. Both of the fries are available to order now. All of the items are only available for a limited time, so don't miss your chance to treat your tastebuds to some spice.
