Savory Avocado Mousse Recipe
If you have never heard of avocado mousse, then you're missing out! This delicious spread is basically like guacamole or any avocado spread, but it also includes parsley, sea salt, and the savory ingredient that takes the taste to a whole new level — Worcestershire sauce. The consistency of this is like a mousse, and it's oh-so smooth and oh-so creamy. Trust us when we say that this will take your avocado toast game up a notch.
Recipe developer and wellness coach Miriam Hahn is the mastermind behind this spread, and you'll probably want to get her address to mail her a thank you card later. She shares that this is a "similar concept to avocado toast but different flavors and texture. Avocado toast usually is mashed by hand and it usually is just avocado. This is pureed so it is super smooth (like a true mousse) and I added Worcestershire and parsley so it takes on a nighttime appetizer vibe!" We like the sound of that!

Gather the ingredients
Aside from the fact that this recipe is super tasty and quick to make, another added bonus is that it requires only a few ingredients. You will need 3 medium avocados, 1/2 cup Italian parsley, juice from 1-2 lemons (depending on your taste and preference), and 2 teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce — which seems to be the secret ingredient in so many different recipes. To finish your list, you'll also need just a tablespoon of sea salt, which you may already have at home. Now let's get to mixin'!
Cut and chop
Here's the part where you'll do the most work but it's not a lot — we promise. First, cut the avocados in half. Then, you'll want to remove the pits. Next, get out a large food processor and add the avocado flesh to it. "You can use a blender but it is pretty thick so will be much harder to get out," Hahn says. Once the avocado is well blended, chop the parsley and then add that to the food processor and blend again.
Add more to the food processor and serve
When the avocado and the parsley are blended well together, you can add the rest of your ingredients in to the food processor. This includes the Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, and sea salt. Continue to blend these ingredients together until they are smooth. When the mix is blended, it's ready to be served! Hahn recommends using it as a dip or a spread on baguette bread. It also "works well on a tray mixed in with other bruschetta too," Hahn shares, including "traditional bruschetta and a Mediterranean one with grilled zucchini, eggplant, and kalamata olives. It makes for a pretty trio. It would also be great for an upscale brunch."
It will last for a couple of days in the fridge and the lemon should keep it from turning brown.
