A festive spin on the Aperol Spritz
The Aperol Spritz, also known as the Venetian Spritz, has displaced the Negroni as the most popular aperitivo in Italy. The formula of sparkling wine, soda and a bitter is easy to improvise upon, as I have here in this cocktail I created for the Zwack family's café in Bolgheri. It's right on the mark with low-proof, wine-based cocktails and the amari trend that's happening right now. And, it's a light, effervescent way to kick off your New Year's party.

Ingredients
- 2 ounces Prosecco
- 2 ounces Pellegrino Aranciata
- 1½ ounces Zwack
- Half an orange round, to garnish
Directions
- In a rocks glass, pour the Prosecco, Pellegrino Aranciata and Zwack over ice and stir until well chilled. Garnish with the orange round.
