New Girl Scout Cookies Will Be S'Mores Flavored
Next cookie season brings a duo of s'mores flavors
There are a myriad of excellent ways to combine graham, marshmallow and chocolate, but most roads lead to s'mores. In honor of everyone's favorite campfire treat, Girl Scouts are introducing two new flavors to their all-star lineup of boxed cookies for the first time since 2015.
One will be graham cookie dipped into icing and coated in chocolate, and the other is a graham cookie sandwich filled with chocolate and marshmallow. Both are bound to be new favorites, and we see no reason why they shouldn't be stacked and eaten together—or stuffed with a freshly toasted marshmallow for a meta s'mores treat.
Troops around the country will be celebrating tonight with bonfires, as the announcement coincides with National S'mores Day. And here's a bit of history for you: The first s'mores recipe actually came from a Girl Scout troop and was called "Some More."
Hey @Hersheys we're having #SmoreFun! #DYK that the 1st s'mores recipe was from Girl Scouts? You were there too! pic.twitter.com/yZOqdlDkGA

The single piece of bad news in this situation is that you have to wait until the 2017 cookie season to get your hands on them. In the meantime, you'll have to settle for old-school s'mores—or that box of Thin Mints you have hidden in the freezer.
