While we generally try to plan ahead for dinner during the week to make it easier on ourselves when we get home from work, there's always that one time we forget to take the meat out of the freezer. So we arrive home starving and faced with a piece of steak that's basically an iceberg.

Before you pick up the phone to order takeout, try this quick and easy way to defrost steak in about five minutes, courtesy of CTi, a Taiwanese cable TV network.
All you need are two metal pots, water and your favorite cut of steak.
① Turn one pot upside down and place the steak on top.
② Fill the other pot with enough water so it carries a little bit of weight then place it on top of the steak.
③ Set your timer for five to 10 minutes, depending on the thickness of the steak, and get ready to be amazed.
Wonder what the science behind it is? Metal is a good conductor of heat, and the combination of that and the weight of the water sandwiching the steak between the two surfaces allows the steak to thaw quickly.
