Where To Buy Aldi Rosé
It's about damn time
Back in May, Aldi generated buzz (both viral and drunken) when it announced its under-$10 bottle of rosé won a silver medal at the Oscars of the wine world. And while you and I sat at home eagerly reading all the accolades this mystical bottle of wine was receiving, it remained the drunken carrot dangling over our heads, as the only way we'd ever get a chance to try a bottle was to visit the UK.
Well, today is every lowbrow wino's lucky day: The grocery store has announced that its Exquisite Collection's 2016 Côtes de Provence Rosé will finally be sold in U.S. stores, starting next week. According to an email, the $8 bottle (which beat out competing vintages costing three times as much at the International Wine & Spirits Competition this year) has "delicate yet intense flavors of strawberry and white fruit, with a subtle touch of spice."
True, this mid-September announcement might be too little too late, but when it comes to having an excuse to drink pink wine even in the fall, we have no shame.
Correction: Exquisite Collection's 2016 Côtes de Provence Rosé will go on sale starting September 20, not today.
