Tomorrow Chinese Restaurant In NYC
There's more to the Financial District than steakhouses and sandwich shops
Office workers of Lower Manhattan, we have good news: There's a new place for lunch in the Financial District, and it doesn't involve greasy sandwiches or fancy steaks.
Restaurateur Amelie Kang, of Chinese dry pot spot MáLà Project, has a new joint called Tomorrow, which is now feeding FiDi's massive lunch crowd with a "strong focus on simplicity and convenience." But don't let the speedy delivery times and the fact you can text in your order fool you: This isn't your average take-out menu.
Instead, expect seasonally rotating dishes of home-style cooking you'd find around a Chinese dinner table, like flaky fish fillets with ginger and scallion, "leftover fried rice," and cold noodles with pickles and cucumbers. Lunch-goers can choose any three dishes for just $10, while dinner customers can grab an à la carte portion of any item for $4. Let's just say Tomorrow is what we wish every take-out joint in NYC could be like.
