The Detroit Club Reopening
You don't have to be a member to score a good meal
After a three-year renovation, the historic boys' club-era Detroit Club is reopening downtown. Luckily, though, you don't have to be a member to book a reservation at the Grille Room, which opens for lunch and dinner on January 22.
Overall, the space will largely maintain the grandeur of the 1882 original (we're talking gold leaf crown molding and crystal chandeliers), but a refreshed menu will remind you you're firmly rooted in 2018.
The Detroit Club is also accepting new members, should you want to join in on a place where you can rent a ballroom for 1,600 of your closest friends or spend the night in a private suite, claw-foot tub included.
You'll find us in the Grille Room's lounge, settled into a pair of wingback chairs with a classic cocktail or three.
