Trump 'Fake News Awards' & José Andrés
Just a little more reason for nominees to want to win
If there's one thing we've learned by now, it's that chef José Andrés isn't afraid to speak his mind, especially when it comes to the current president of the United States.
Soon after Donald Trump Tweeted he would be hosting the "Fake News Awards" for the "most corrupt & biased of the Mainstream Media," Andrés gave potential nominees just a little more reason to win, Grub Street notes.
To all the winners for Mondays's Dishonest and Corrupt Media Awards of @realdonaldtrump I want to contribute with lunch on me in any of my restaurants as a reward.... https://t.co/LuCkd0c1pG

It's not the first time Andrés has taken sides against the current administration. Last year, the chef made a powerful, symbolic gesture at the South Beach Wine and Food Festival and shuttered all of his restaurants in a day of protest against Trump's anti-immigration policies.
