Free Dairy Queen Ice Cream 2018
Celebrate the start of spring . . . and ice cream-eating season
It's not that we ever needed an excuse to have a hot fudge sundae, but diving into one in the middle of a chilly snowstorm is just never satisfying. It's scientific fact that ice cream always tastes a little bit better (and is a little less of a shameful pleasure) when warmer weather comes around, and Dairy Queen is inclined to agree.
In honor of the first day of spring, on March 20, 2018, select non-mall locations will be handing out free Dairy Queen ice cream cones of their signature swirled ice cream.
"Silky smooth DQ® soft serve is truly one of life's simple pleasures. Our cone with the curl on top is one of the most recognized treats in the world,'" Maria Hokanson, executive vice president of marketing for DQ, says in a press release. "This day has become a spring tradition and a sign that warmer weather is upon us."
The ice cream chain will also be collecting donations for Children's Miracle Network, so you while you try to find the one Dairy Queen location that isn't inside a mall, consider making a donation, why don't you?
