David Chang Podcast

It's the first project from his new company, Majordomo Media

It wasn't too long ago that David Chang announced the launch of his new multimedia platform, Majordomo Media. And now, the outlet's first project is officially live via The David Chang Show, the chef's eponymous podcast that's available to stream now on iTunes. The show is in partnership with The Ringer Podcast Network and similar to Ugly Delicious, will tackle and break down cultural issues through the lens of food.

"This is an interesting time to talk about the culinary world, my life, how that intersects with culture at large," Chang notes. "This was something that I always thought about doing."

According to the chef, the podcast was created "to tell different stories that I think aren't being told, to tell narratives from my life that I think might be interesting and, not just my life, I want to shed light on different stories . . . things happening in food [such as] an amazing chef that's not getting credit that you should all support."

Aside from the guests featured on the show, the limited-run, five-part series will also focus on Chang's experience opening Majordomo, his first West Coast restaurant, from the lead-up to opening to where it stands today.

"We're going to launch with what it's like to open a restaurant and all the anxiety and decisions that got involved with that, so I hope that this podcast is going to be a release and an outlet for a lot of great ideas and great conversation to be had," he concludes.
