This Popular Juice Brand Now Comes With A Boozy Twist

Whether you've been a fan of hard fruity drinks since Mike's Hard Lemonade debuted in 1999 or since White Claw became the it-drink of 2018, canned cocktails are continuing to climb to new heights within the beverage industry. And the latest addition is actually the second canned cocktail to come from the partnership struck between Molson Coors and Coca-Cola according to Food Business News. This time, the companies are giving fans a boozy new take on Simply Lemonade.

The new fruity canned cocktail brand, Simply Spiked Lemonade, was announced on January 25 and is expected to hit shelves this summer. The spiked lemonade will come in four flavors including classic lemonade, strawberry lemonade, blueberry lemonade, and watermelon lemonade. When they do become available, the drinks will be sold in 12-packs of "slim cans," as well as single large 24-ounce cans, according to CNN. Just like Mike's Hard Lemonade, cans of Simply Spiked Lemonade will contain 5% alcohol by volume.

This is what fans are saying

While this new drink might sound like a copy of Mike's Hard Lemonade, the two brands only have two overlapping flavors: classic lemonade and strawberry lemonade.

Though prices have not yet been announced, fans of canned cocktails and Simply Lemonade are already responding to the single Instagram post that the new Simply Spiked Lemonade account has shared. While the post didn't exactly go viral, the announcement and product photo of the new line has received 140 likes and mostly positive feedback. Instagram users responded to the post sharing their excitement or asking questions about the new product: "Can't wait! I always have simply in my fridge and now THIS," one fan wrote. Another commented "This may be my new drink this summer!!"

Even though Mike's Hard Lemonade doesn't have the best reviews or ratings on Amazon, people seem to be ready to give the new hard lemonade a try.
