Jones Soda Just Announced 2 New Flavors Inspired By This Summer Treat
In a recent press release, Jones Soda announced that two new limited-edition flavors would be added to its lineup. The company hopes the new flavors will be just right for fans of the frozen ICEE drinks. The first-time partnership between the two brands will naturally result in one of the most classic ICEE flavors, cherry, as the first new addition, but they aren't stopping there.
ICEE and Jones Soda will be releasing a limited-edition blue raspberry Jones Soda flavor, too. The new ICEE-inspired flavors will come in classic Jones Soda bottles with a special logo featuring the ICEE bear mascot. While the cherry flavor is already on sale at select retailers, the blue raspberry Jones Soda flavor won't be released until May. (Both nostalgic summer flavors will be available until September.) Customers can find the special flavors at typical Jones Soda retailers, such as grocery and dollar stores like Hy-Vee and Family Fare.
In addition to the limited Jones Soda flavors, ICEE will also be releasing a Jones Soda-inspired flavor, Mango Melon. This special ICEE flavor will be available wherever ICEEs are sold.
How to get your hands on the sold-out cherry ICEE flavor
While soda fans are pretty excited about the new ICEE and Jones Soda partnership, it unfortunately seems that the limited flavor has already sold out. Jones Soda announced the collab in an Instagram post on January 31, stating that the soda would become available on Febuary 1; but by February 2, fans began reporting the new cherry flavor was already gone. Jones Soda responded to one disappointed comment ("Dang. Sold out"), stating that more should be available by "the end of the month" and that fans who just can't wait should check e-commerce website Zulily.
Even though both the $40 12-packs and $75 24-packs of the drink are currently sold out online, customers can always check their local retailers to try to find the incredibly popular new Jones Soda flavor. Those who missed out on the first round of the special release can also enter their email on the Jones Soda website to be notified when the next batch becomes available online.
