Whipped Feta Dip Recipe
Recipe developer and registered dietitian nutritionist, Kristen Carli, MS, RD, brings us this whipped feta dip recipe. This dish is perfect to serve as part of a holiday food spread or on the appetizer table. We love this dip around the holiday season or as part of a brunch spread for a baby shower. The best part? It's super easy.
Want to impress your friends and family? Sick of being in charge of napkins or cups at the corporate potluck? Every event table already has the veggie tray, the charcuterie board, or the endless array of chips and dip. Bring this elegant, but secretly incredibly easy, whipped feta dip for a dash of sophistication. It not only is incredibly beautiful, it is super tasty.
Read on below for our step-by-step guide on how to make this whipped feta dip. You will be surprised at how easy it actually is to make.
Gather your ingredients for whipped feta dip
To make this delicious whipped feta dip, we first need to gather our ingredients. For this recipe, you will need feta cheese, cream cheese, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and chopped parsley for the optional topping. You will also need crackers, raw vegetables, or pita bread for dipping. We recommend that you choose a sturdy cracker, like Triscuits, for this dip as it is rather thick, and thin crackers or chips tend to break.
Add ingredients to a food processor
Simply add the feta cheese, cream cheese, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to a food processor. Blend this until the ingredients are combined well and the dip is creamy in texture. If your cream cheese is very cold, this may take a few minutes of blending and scraping down the sides of the food processor. Don't lose patience. This will eventually come together.
Transfer to a bowl and top with parsley
When the dip is ready, scoop out the whipped feta dip into a serving bowl. We like adding some chopped parsley on top for a little color and freshness, but this is completely optional. If parsley is not your favorite, feel free to skip it or substitute another herb or seasoning, like everything bagel seasoning or red chili flakes.
Serve with crackers for dipping
You're ready to serve this whipped feta dip. Again, we like serving it with sturdy crackers, but it is also delicious with many other dippers, such as raw veggies or pita bread. If you have any leftover dip, we recommend storing it in an airtight container in the fridge. It makes an excellent sandwich spread if you want to spice up your usual lunch meat-on-bread combo.
