Creamistry Just Debuted A New Waffle-Croissant Hybrid
I scream, you scream, we all scream — and we really do. Everyone has their favorite ice cream brand, but few purveyors offer a menu quite like the one at Creamistry.
Sweet-toothed fans return to the spot for its totally comprehensive customization. Creamistry customers choose a base of dairy cream, vegan milk, or sorbet, and mix it with one of over 50 flavors.
Then, they can top the scoops with a massive variety of toppings and mix-ins. Your sundae can even be served in a brownie bowl. Therefore, every order is completely unique.
Even though this customization is pretty impressive, what sets Creamistry apart from other shops is its science. The ice cream chain uses liquid nitrogen to instantly freeze each individual order. The liquid nitrogen comes out at negative 321 degrees Fahrenheit, via MRT, and flash-freezes customers' orders right before their eyes. Dessert and a show, anyone?
On May 19, 2022, Creamistry announced the launch of an innovative menu item to keep ice cream fans on their toes: meet the "croffle."
The croffle is the best of both worlds
As its namesake suggests, the "croffle" is a cross between a croissant and a waffle. According to Creamistry, this glazed croissant comes hot off the iron and is then topped with fresh cream, sauce, and a variety of toppings.
Served on a stick, the croffle comes in six flavors: Chocolate Overload, Fruity Pebbles, Strawberry Cheesecake, Banana Nutella Crunch, Cookie Butter Crunch, and Cookies & Cream. But, like the rest of Creamistry's menu, the croffle is customizable. The listed flavors are merely suggestions to help customers craft their own croffles with a cream base and any two toppings.
Marketing director Kenny Cho says the croffle was inspired by "international dessert trends" and complements the ice cream treats on the menu, via a press release.
The California-based ice cream chain has locations in California, Georgia, Arizona, Louisiana, and Texas, but it reports plans to expand during the summer.
For now, croffle fans can only get the dessert at Creamistry's Cerritos, California, location. But, luckily, the croffle will enjoy a much larger release to other states and locations in the near future. Stay tuned.
