- Allie has over 10 years of experience as a professional pastry chef, cake decorator, and private chef in New York City.
- After completing culinary training at the Institute of Culinary Education and working for years as a pastry chef, she became a chef instructor with Project Renewal in the Bowery neighborhood in Manhattan which inspired her to obtain a master's degree in the field of education, specifically language acquisition, to support immigrant youth.
- For the past three years, Allie has enjoyed expanding her YouTube channel, Thainybites, which focuses on everything from recipes to restaurant reviews and interviews.

Since 2019, Allie has thrived in food writing for online publications focusing on restaurant reviews and recipe development. She has most recently written for Lifehacker, sharing her favorite cooking techniques and developing delectable recipes. She also hosts food shows, like the holiday episode of View & Chew, spotlighting excellent restaurants and sightseeing in New York City. Allie relishes the opportunity to share tips, industry secrets, and advice on all things baking and cooking.
Education
Following her culinary training and earning her diploma with the Institute of Culinary Education, Allie has been able to work at a number of highly acclaimed bakeries to further develop and expand her skills. Her Master's degree in teaching English language acquisition followed after that, giving Allie a chance to discover her love of the written word and the unique opportunity to combine her two loves — food and writing.
