- Holly attended culinary school with the intention of becoming a food writer. Since then, she has worked in restaurant kitchens, as a personal chef, as a restaurant consultant, and as a food writer and restaurant reviewer.
- Launching in April of 2019, Holly's podcast, The Culinati Podcast, interviews artisans, restaurateurs, chefs, and others who are innovating and pushing the envelope in the food world and making a difference in the culinary landscape.
- Holly has represented top chefs and restaurants as a public relations specialist, bringing national recognition to their work in the kitchen and around the world as philanthropists, innovators, and influencers.
Experience
Holly has spent the last 15 years as a food writer and editor, restaurant reviewer and consultant, culinary podcast host, and media personality. Her food writing has appeared in local and national publications and she is regarded as an expert in the culinary and restaurant industry. Beyond simply writing or speaking on culinary and restaurant topics, Holly has worked in restaurant kitchens and is an avid home cook. While she loves the latest gadgets, she believes the best food is created simply: Salt, pepper, olive oil, heat, and time.
Education
Holly holds an A.A.S. degree in Culinary Arts from the Cooking & Hospitality Institute of Chicago, where she attended with the intention of learning about food and its preparation in order to write about food fluently and with deep knowledge. She also holds an M.F.A. in Creative Writing with a non-fiction specialization from the University of Central Florida, where she wrote a book-length food memoir with recipes as her thesis project.
