Experience

After studying screenwriting at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, Sophie decided to get her hands dirty in the kitchens of some of L.A.'s top bakeries. From there, she piloted the pastry program at Chulita in Venice, CA, and helped open Bar Pomona in New Orleans. Between all this baking, she's been writing about chefs and culinary trends in L.A. and the Gulf South. An independent researcher into cultural food and wine history, she writes about food philosophies on her substack, Culinaria.

Education

Sophie received her BFA in dramatic writing from New York University in 2014. She recently completed her MFA in creative writing from the University of New Orleans.
