  • Steve's cooking is inspired by his garden, where he enjoys growing everything from blackcurrants to winter squash. He aims to grow one new food or variety each year.
  • Steve loves to travel and has found that one of the best ways to learn about the people and culture of a destination is by taking a food tour. His favorites include Athens, Seattle, and Boston's Italian North End.
  • He once claimed the top spot in a sandwich-making competition and received a ride in a hot-air balloon as a reward.
