How To Make Chopping Herbs Even Easier

And since summer also means spending as much time outdoors as possible, it's just as crucial to speed things up as it is to make sure you're upping your cooking game with your favorite herbs. Here's a trick:

Cut up herbs in a jar with kitchen shears.

Put the knife down.

Pick up a jar and stuff it with herbs.

Chop, chop, chop with those shears.

It's that easy. Even better: It's a lot quicker to wash a jar or mug than it is to scrub a cutting board covered in minced herbs. Also, kitchen shears are one of the most underutilized tools. So turn over a new leaf–literally—this summer and put those scissors to good use. Don't believe us? Watch the video above, and you'll never look back.
