Benne-Seed Granola
Chef Matt Pleasants' simple benne-seed granola.

Ingredients
- 7 cups old-fashioned (rolled) oats
- 2 cups steel-cut oats
- 1 cup sliced almonds (preferably without skins)
- ⅓ cup sesame seeds (benne seeds)
- 6 tablespoons canola oil
- ⅓ cup honey (preferably Johns Island honey)
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350°. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
- To a large bowl, add the old-fashioned and steel-cut oats, almonds, sesame seeds, oil and honey and stir until combined. Evenly spread the mixture on the prepared baking sheet and bake until lightly browned, 20 to 25 minutes.
