Brandy Milk Punch
A classic milk punch from Galatoire's in New Orleans.

Ingredients
- Ice
- 2 ounces brandy or bourbon
- 5 ounces whole milk
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon simple syrup (1 part sugar and 1 part water, boiled until the sugar dissovles)
- Fresh nutmeg
Directions
- In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the brandy or bourbon, milk, vanilla extract and simple syrup. Shake vigorously. Strain into a highball glass filled with ice.
- Garnish with a light dusting of freshly grated nutmeg. Serve immediately.
