Drink Recipe: The Headless Horseman
Pumpkin butter adds sweetness and spice to a Halloween cocktail
Gone are the days when Halloween meant roaming the neighborhood filling up a bucket (or pillowcase?) with as much candy as humanly possible. Nowadays we're more likely to buy a couple of bags of fun-size candies "for the trick or treaters" and pick those chewy morsels of goodness off one by one.
Instead of creating a mountain of candy wrappers, hunker down with some grown-up Halloween chocolate, put on your favorite version of Scream and make a Halloween cocktail. Similar to a jam cocktail, this drink uses a spoonful of pumpkin butter to give it both sweetness and spice. You can easily find pumpkin butter at most grocery stores or online, and the simplicity of scooping it out of a jar means you can focus on Neve Campbell running for her life.
