Pumpkin Spice Liqueur Recipe
Making homemade liqueur at home is easier than you think. Any neutral spirit can be infused with your favorite flavors and sweetened with simple syrup. We embrace our love of Fall flavors by toasting pumpkin pie spices like cinnamon and nutmeg and steeping them in vodka before adding a syrup made with the steeped spices to get every last drop of flavor out of them.
There are a million ways to use this liqueur. While you can pour it over ice and sip it, try adding it to your favorite cocktails or stirring it into your morning coffee (we won't tell). It's also the perfect soak for any fall cake before you assemble. Brush a few tablespoons on to add a boozy sweetness and moisture to your favorite cake.

Pumpkin Spice Liqueur Recipe
Infuse vodka with pumpkin pie spices before adding a spiced syrup to make a liqueur that's perfect for adding to any cocktail or cup of coffee.
Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon whole clove
- 1 teaspoon whole allspice
- ¾ teaspoon white pepper
- 4 cinnamon sticks
- 1 whole nutmeg
- 1 (2-inch) piece ginger, thinly sliced
- 2½ cups vodka
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup water
Directions
- In a small skillet, toast the clove, allspice, white pepper, cinnamon, and nutmeg over medium heat until fragrant, about 2 minutes.
- Transfer to a sealable quart jar with the ginger and pour in the vodka. Seal and steep for 2 days, shaking the jar every 12 hours.
- After 2 days, strain out the solids and transfer them to a small saucepan with the sugar and water. Bring to simmer, and cook until the sugar dissolves, about 2 minutes. Let cool completely.
- Strain the syrup into the jar with the infused vodka, and shake to combine.
- Serve on the rocks, in a cup of coffee, or stirred into your favorite cocktails.
