Slow Cooker Mulled Cider Recipe

Slow Cooker Mulled Cider
Fight off the fall chill this year by combining apple cider with warm, nutty spices and fragrant citrus in a slow cooker.
Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon whole cloves
- 1 teaspoon whole allspice
- ½ teaspoon juniper berries
- 4 green cardamom pods
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 16 cups apple cider
- ¼ cup dark brown sugar
- 1 orange, thinly sliced
- 1 lemon, thinly sliced
Directions
- On a piece of cheesecloth, combine the cloves, allspice, juniper, cardamom and cinnamon, and tie together with butcher's twine to form a sachet.
- Place the sachet in a slow cooker with the remaining ingredients and cook on high for 4 hours. Let cool slightly, then serve.
