New 'Chef's Table' Season 5 And 6 Fall 2018

The award-winning (and highly mesmerizing) show returns on September 28

The wait is over: Chef's Table is back, and we only have to wait until September 28 to dive into David Gelb's mesmerizing, award-winning series.

While last season had a sweet spin to it, featuring four pastry chefs from around the world, the fifth season will highlight those who may not be household names—yet. We'll learn about an Istanbul chef who started working in restaurants when he was 12 years old, El Bulli's Albert Adrià, a Thailand gem and Cristina Martinez, a south Philly chef who's also a proud immigrant and strong activist.

The sixth season, which we'll see in 2019, promises to deliver as well. It will feature Mashama Grey, from beloved Savannah restaurant the Grey; Sean Brock, another southern chef of note, Italian butcher Dario Cecchini; and Asma Khan from the London supper club-turned-restaurant Darjeeling Express.

The episodes hit Netflix on September 28, and if you haven't finished all the episodes by the 29th, we'll be highly impressed.
