Ample Hills Creamery Is Opening At Disney World
Brooklyn-based Ample Hills Creamery is opening at Disney World
The most magical place on earth is about to get a few more sprinkles of fairy dust. Brooklyn-based Ample Hills Creamery is opening in Disney World this spring. The location will be the ice cream shop's first venture outside of New York City.
Located on a boardwalk at Disney's BoardWalk Inn & Villas, which channels turn-of-the-century Atlantic City, the new Ample Hills will be styled as an old-school ice cream parlor. Visitors will be able to peek inside the kitchen from the boardwalk, getting a firsthand glimpse of the ice cream-making process. They'll also get to taste hit flavors like Ooey Gooey Butter Cake (one of our all-time favorites), as well as a new flavor developed specifically for the new location.

For serious fans, the move might feel like the Brooklyn gem is selling out. Just picture park visitors double-fisting: jumbo turkey legs in one hand, a cone of some of NYC's best ice cream in the other. On the other hand, Ample Hills' whimsical flavors like Snap Mallow Pop—light and fluffy marshmallow ice cream with Rice Krispies clusters—and The Munchies—pretzel-infused ice cream with pieces of Ritz crackers, potato chips, pretzels and mini M&M's— do make Disney World seem like a perfect new home.
The ice cream store already ships nationwide. It also attracted attention when it released Star Wars-themed special-edition pints (the movie franchise is now owned by Disney, funny enough), but a location at the theme park makes Ample Hills even more of a Force to be reckoned with.
