Order Dinner Directly From Google Maps

You can now order a meal through Facebook, too

For the nights when scouring the internet abyss for food is too much, Google and Facebook are here to help deliver dinner—without ever leaving the app or your apartment. The newest version of Google Maps for iOS allows users to not only find restaurants but to order delivery from them as well, AppleInsider reports.

Here's how it works: Users are given choices like "best lunches" or "where the locals eat" to choose from. Once they select a restaurant from the list, they are prompted to order delivery via services like Seamless or GrubHub. Facebook introduced something similar a week ago, but delivery can be placed only through official pages of restaurants that use Delivery.com and Slice.com.

Technological cynicism aside, it's getting cold out there, so this could really come in handy.
