OddFellows And Roberta's Created An Epic New Ice Cream
OddFellows and Roberta's just introduced what might be the summer's best new ice cream flavor
This May, join us as we gear up for the first day of summer with recipes and ideas to make it your best ever. Let the Summer Countdown begin.
Sticky buns and bacon, meet ice cream. You guys were always meant to be together. New York-based OddFellows Ice Cream Co. and Brooklyn's Roberta's have known it all along, and they've just created a new ice cream flavor to prove it.
Behold coffee ice cream with sticky bun bread pudding and bacon, a one-of-a-kind flavor that we'd like to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner this summer. The flavor launches today at New York's Urbanspace Vanderbilt food hall and will be available through Labor Day.

This is the first time OddFellows and Roberta's have teamed up, and ice cream maker Sam Mason is excited to see where the collaboration takes these two beloved NYC institutions.
"We've always been big fans of Roberta's, and, of course, their famous sticky buns, so we thought that combining our ice cream with their sticky buns would make for the perfect kickoff collaboration at Urbanspace," Mason says.
Before making ice cream, Mason trained at Paris's Ladurée and served as the pastry chef at wd-50. In other words, he knows a thing or two about inventive desserts. In addition to partnering with Roberta's on this flavor, Mason also collaborates with other restaurants to create custom flavors. Maison Premiere serves an absinthe chocolate chip flavor, and Genuine Superette serves OddPockets, which are toasted brioche ice cream sandwiches.
If you haven't tried Roberta's brioche sticky buns, which are covered in caramel and Maldon sea salt, they're legendary. You can also find them at Brooklyn Kitchen and now Urbanspace Vanderbilt. For this ice cream, they're baked into a bread pudding and mixed into coffee ice cream with bits of smoky bacon. Yep, this counts as a breakfast in our book.
This latest collaboration is enough to turn us into morning people.
